What are Trinity exams?
Trinity exams specialise in the assessment of communicative and performance skills covering the English language as well as the Arts. Trinity’s English language exams focus on communicative and integrated language skills that people of all ages and from all walks of life need to perform in today’s interconnected world.
The most popular Trinity exams are:
- Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE – 2-skill exam)
- Integrated Skills in English (ISE – 4-skill exam)
GESE test English speaking and listening skills. 12 grades (pre-A1 to C2) are available for learners of all ages from beginners to advanced.
ISE test all four skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing). 5 levels (A2 to C2) are available for people who need English skills for study and work. ISE exams have two separate components (reading & writing and speaking & listening) which can be taken together or separately, when you are ready.
ISE proficiency levels are mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR) and are available at five levels:
ISE Foundation (A2) | ISE I (B1) | ISE II (B2) | ISE III (C1) | ISE IV (C2)
